The Civil Service Digital, Data and Technology fast stream develops future data leaders within UK government. Graduates work across departments including HMRC, DWP and DHSC, applying data science to public policy challenges that affect millions of citizens.
What you'll be doing
- Analyse large public sector datasets to inform policy decisions
- Build dashboards and reports for ministers and officials
- Apply machine learning and statistical methods to government problems
- Collaborate with analysts across government departments
- Present findings to non-technical senior civil servants
What they're looking for
Required
2:1 degree with strong analytical componentProgramming skills in Python, R or SQLInterest in public service and governmentClear communication skills
Nice to have
Experience with government dataKnowledge of open data standardsPrevious public sector internship
